FRP Composite Marker & Highway Delineator Posts Show the Way
Glasforms’ Markers and Delineators are composite posts designed to display and protect 3” wide reflective sheeting and/or decals. The one-piece design offers easy installation and maintenance free service. Posts provide the proper combination of stiffness, to withstand both ground driven installation and high wind loads, with the flexibility and memory to return upright after vehicular impacts. To assure long-term performance, the reinforcing fiber architecture maximizes longitudinal and transverse strengths, while minimizing potential delamination from vehicles or vandalism. A polyester surfacing veil and ultra-violet light stabilizers are incorporated into the posts for improved outdoor durability and color retention. When used as boundary and survey markers, posts can be easily located after wild fires by the remaining fiberglass reinforcement, thus minimizing the cost of re-surveying the property. The nominal 4" wide delineator and marker posts are designed with a concave surface to protect the reflective sheeting or decals from vehicle impact and abrasion. The combination of the part shape and the additional transverse fiber reinforcement incorporated into the composite post, maximizes its impact strength for vehicle collisions. The 3.85" wide Dual-flex™ marker, principally designed for use on secondary roads and trails, offers dual edge ribs for application and protection of decals on both sides. The 3.75" wide Tri-flex™ marker is designed for maximum stiffness for use in traffic areas with less potential for direct vehicle impacts. Decals are protected on the front side by the same rib design as the Dual-flex™. Posts are available in standard 62" to 84" lengths, pointed on one end for ground installation along with optional ground anchors.
