The 5 ply composite tube incorporates three plies of axial (0°) fiber to maximize stiffness and strength to weight. Two biaxial plies wound at plus 85° and minus 85° provide high burst, crush and transverse strength. The tubing is fabricated in Glasforms proprietary process that is a hybrid of pultrusion and filament winding technologies, combining the best production efficiency with optimized material properties of both processes.
