September 29, 1999 - To meet the exciting challenges of surging demand and customer growth, we are building two additional state of the art pultrusion factories on the same site with our existing Birmingham facility. Groundbreaking occurred in April, as the second phase of a major expansion project totaling over $6 million. This phase includes 38,000 and 28,000 square foot factories complete with climate control and proprietary high output machinery and will mirror the present 30,000 square foot plant. Delayed but undaunted, we have persevered through unseasonable rainfall, which slowed construction originally scheduled for completion in September. Manufacturing operations are now anticipated to commence in November. The objective of this expansion is to continually improve all facets of service for our burgeoning family of customers in the U.S., and in over 45 countries worldwide. Customer growth in existing major markets, combined with new applications for FRP products have brought product demand to an all-time high. Increasing production capacity broadens our versatility and flexibility to accommodate the vast range of our customer’s requirements.
